Back Story:Seeing Virgil for the first time you would probably notice his gray hair, spectacles, tired bright blue eyes, and a mustache. Virgil is a man in the tail-end of his prime at the age of 57. He has been looking for his wife for some time now. Virgil suffers from dementia and as such has an unreliable memory. He may or may not have forgotten who his wife is or where she might be. He does have his wedding ring and a sense that he loves her very much. Virgil he comes from a wealthy family and in his childhood he devoted his time to his studies and developed a love of puzzles and mystery novels. Virgil can't remember most of his adult life, but he does remember his childhood, which is dominated by his daunting Father and his consistant dissappointmet in Virgil. Disowned at the age of 17, Virgil learned to eke out a living in the wastes through scavanging. Sometimes he tries to start the day without putting his trousers on. Life is tough. Everyone has their own problems and this is his. The most embarrasing moment in his life was when he woke up in the wastes, looked around and forgot how he got there. He then looked at his hand and saw a wedding ring and forgot how that got there. He worries his wife is dead, has moved on, or never existed. He has been having strange dreams lately which have made it harder to focus on his second goal; writting the next Great American Novel. There is mercilfully little competition.
